Orthopedic Treatment in Munich

The best therapy doesn’t do any good if it isn’t precisely tailored to your individual requirements. To develop a tailor-made treatment approach, therefore, we not only attach great importance to a detailed anamnesis and clinical diagnostics, but also offer a particularly extensive range of therapies.

In our interdisciplinary centre of excellence we consider patients holistically and not only from the perspective of the respective discipline. Especially for complex problems, it is important to look at these from various perspectives.

Versatile modern options

Modern spinal pain medicine comprises a multitude of various methods, from which one alone cannot be regarded as the method of choice. It always depends on the individual case and constellation associated with it. Depending on the type, origin, severity and duration of the patient’s pain, one or several methods can or must also be applied to permanently alleviate the pain.

That is why at our multidisciplinary joint practice we rely on extensive clinical diagnostics and a close, interdisciplinary collaboration. The various therapy approaches that we pursue can be roughly divided into three levels: conservative therapies, minimally-invasive operations, and surgical therapies.

There is no such thing as a hopeless case

Fortunately, these days modern and diverse treatment methods allow our multidisciplinary team to help even the most persistent cases among our pain patients. No one must endure such pain. Individual diagnostics and multidisciplinary treatment can be used to optimally treat and ease the pain. The most important task in the practice and clinical practice is to regard each patient as a challenge. Every minute, every week, every year.

Conservative therapies

If there are no signs of neurological failure or chronic pain, conservative treatment methods are used first. These initially include physiotherapy, osteopathy and extracorporeal shock wave therapy, as well as conservative osteoarthritis and osteoporosis therapy.

Pain therapy

Whether for acute or chronic pain, in addition to other treatments, or as a stand-alone therapy: Pain therapy offers a wide range of procedures, from acupuncture and progressive muscle relaxation, to medication, through to injections and injection treatments.

Minimally-invasive spinal operations

Minimally-invasive operations offer the opportunity of countering many back problems on a long-term basis without open surgery. These gentle processes put fewer stresses on the body and are low-risk. Throughout Europe, we are pioneers in many minimally-invasive treatments, such as spinal catheter treatment, which has been developed substantially further by Dr. Reinhard Schneiderhan. In addition, our team of doctors has performed over 40,000 minimally-invasive spinal operations throughout Europe and has the greatest experience in this field.

Surgical therapies

Should an operation be unavoidable, neurosurgery also offers many ways of treating slipped discs or also osteoporosis by means of the smallest of operations. Our interdisciplinary practice community also naturally includes experts in stabilising operations, surgical osteoarthritis therapies, and peripheral operations. This all means that you are in good hands.

Surgical arthrosis therapy

There are several possibilities for treating arthrosis. If conservative therapy methods are no longer sufficient, an operation can provide pain relief and maintain mobility. More about surgical arthrosis therapy
